Our Philosophy
While planning my own wedding, I discovered my knack for designing and coordination. But I knew there was more to being a great wedding planner than selecting melt-in-your-mouth cakes and fitting intricate gowns.
So, in 2004, I left my job at a German television station in Washington, DC (Ja, Ich bin Deutsch) to work for a full-service catering company. I started as an intern in the sales department, and left as a Senior Event Designer–mastering all the nuances of off premise catering and event planning, from packing up full restaurants onto a truck to designing creative layouts. This experience taught me how to think quickly on my feet and find creative solutions in an instant.
Ten years, hundreds of events, and over 400 happy couples later, I founded Designed Perfectly Events with a mission to fuse strategic event planning with creative design. I love giving each of my clients personalized attention, and I’ve taught my team of event coordinators how to execute your event, so it’s the wedding day you’ve always wanted.

Being (dark) chocolate obsessed, lover of all things purple and wearing bright colors. I am also a huge fan of Robbie Williams and will travel to Germany just to see him in concert.
You can find me at the barn watching my daughter ride, catching up on my favorite TV shows or spending time with my family.
A calm leader on wedding days who doesn’t let anyone or anything ruffle my feathers.
